Allan is an Operations Superintendent for the utility company in Barrow,AK.
Keeping the power going can be very challenging when dealing with windsblowing off the Arctic Ocean at 80 mph. As Kristie wrote "it gets verydark and cold if the power or gas doesn't operate." Allan has seen andhunted a lot of wild game; moose, wolverines, black bear, caribou,grizzly and polar bear. Fishing is another of his hobbies. He also hadthe experience of a bringing back a snowmachine that had broken down 350miles from Barrow and driving it 180 miles over snow and ice in one day.They have lived in Alaska since 1990.
