"Mary Alexander was the 9th child of Stephen and Sophronia Kenney. Shewas the only child not born in Massachusetts. She was the only girl andadored by her seven living brothers. On September 16, 1878, at the ageof 16, she was married to Frank N. Horton. His date and place of birthand death are not known. Mary died June 3, 1946 at Faribault, Minnesota.
Mary was a slender, petite woman, five feet four inches tall. She hadred, curly hair which she wore piled high on her head, and a very faircomplexion. She had a lovely singing voice and played the organ by ear." - Pollard - "Are We Related?" page 52
