Curt was born in Grand Forks, ND, his parents were Charles and EdnaJennings Schmidt. They moved to Bemidji in 1947 and Curt graduated fromBemidji High School in 1964. He served in the U S Army from 1964 to 1966.
Curt worked as a truck driver for many years. He had throat cancer in1997 and was treated with radiation and surgery.
Curt's and Sandy's home in Grand Forks was severly damaged during the RedRiver flood of 1997. In August 1998, they sold their home and moved toArizona. They purchased a home in Mesa near to June and Gale, and Wesand Lennie.
Curt died of cancer on June 26, 2000 at home in Mesa, AZ. A memorialservice was held at Sharon Lutheran Church they had attended in GrandForks, ND on July 2, 2000. Curt and Sandy had attended Dana Meland'swedding on June 24th.
