He came to New England in August 1631, in a ship called "TheLion", was a freman 1633, removed with Hockery Store to Hartford,Connecticut at the time of the "Great Removal" in June 1636, where hedied August 1640. Mary [Molly] Lyman was his great granddaughter. She was born to Sethand Eunice Graves Lyman in Northfield, Mass. on June 2, 1783. She wasthe second wife of Hon. George Austin Alexander, Sr. They were marriedon April 13, 1815 at Northfield, Mass. Mary and George moved fromNorthfield to Bernardston, Mass. where he died on October 12, 1829. Shemoved with her daughter Sophronia Cushman Alexander/Stephen WilliamsKenney and their family to Horse Shoe Lake, Minn. She died on February26, 1862. She was first buried on Alexander farm at Horse Shoe Lake,Minn. Later her grave was moved to a cemetery in Waterville, Minn." -Pollard - "Are We Related"
Sophronia Cushman Alexander is the daughter of Mary Lyman and GeorgeAlexander, she was named for George Alexander's first wife.
She was born January 9, 1816, Bernardston, Mass. and died June 6, 1907.Both she and Stephen died at Horse Shoe Lake and both are buried on theold Alexander farm on Horse Shoe Lake, Minn. They had nine children,eight of whom lived. - Pollard - "Are We Related'
