Gudmund Larsen

Gudmund Larsen is our father's, [ Nils Meland] grandfather. His nameRisanger is the place where he lived on the island of Stord.
From information from Gunvald Meland - 1973, Lizzi Jonsson found thatRisangers lived on Stord Island on the Southwest Coast of Norway. Therewere many boat builders there.
On the Risanger farm on Stord Island, they sold drinks, etc. to thepeople from Sveijo who were going to church. [There was a church andcastle, fortress, or manorhouse located at Rosendal that is mentioned inthe Fykse history. The Baroniet Rosendal was located on Hardangar Fjordnorth of Stord. - Arline Kenney]
