Dellie was the daughter of Sherman Ray and Aline Purser Waxler.Dellie's family owned a fleet of barges that sailed the Mississippi Riverbetween Arkansas and Tennessee. It was interesting to see the barges onthe river when we visited them in Millington.
Dellie was with Dale when he was stationed at Camp Pendleton inSouthern California. They lived for a time in San Diego also. After hisretirement they moved to Pensacola, Florida and then to Millington,Tennessee. Dellie and her son Marvin live on several acres and havewonderful produce gardens each year.
Dellie passed away February 5, 2009 at Methodist North Hospital,Munford, Tennessee. She was member of Embury United Methodist Church,Shelby Forest, Tennessee.
