Elwin N. Olson

Elwin was born in Sharon, ND May 31, 1921 at home. He attended schoolsin Sharon, Fargo and Minot, ND. He and Dennis rode freightcars at a young age going from Minot to Fargo, etc. He worked on thefarm at Sharon during his teenage years and lived
with Rudolph and Ella Olson [his uncle and aunt]. He joined the U S Armyin 1943 and served in the African campaign early in WW II.
When he returned he married Norma Jean. They lived in a small apartmenton Washington Avenue in Minneapolis, MN while
Elwin attended the University of Minnesota in the School of Engineering.After his graduation they moved to Sacramento, CA
and he worked for AERO JET. Elwin and Norma and their family visited us[Kenneys] in Tiburon several times.
Elwin and his family moved to Richland, Washington where he worked in anuclear plant for several years. He was also an inventor andenjoyed searching for gold and uranium. After he and Norma Jean weredivorced Elwin moved to Wickenburg, AZ in 1970.
Elwin lived with his partner Mary for 30 years in Wickenburg. Dick and Ilocated and visited them in 1975 and then lost contact with them.
Elwin had several strokes and used a breathing machine before he died ofa stroke on March 2, 2000.
